We are the UNESCO Chair on Early Childhood Education and Development, and are both proud and honoured to be one of the latest UNESCO Chairs – a worldwide community of excellence. A UNESCO Chair is a project and team at a university or research institution that partners with UNESCO in order to advance knowledge and practice in an area that is a priority for both the institution and UNESCO. The partnership is formalised by means of an agreement signed between the Director-General of UNESCO and the head of the institution hosting the UNESCO Chair
We were established in 2019 by the International Pedagogical Academy of Preschool Education (IAPE), is a leading research and educational platform in the field of preschool education. In 2023, the agreement between UNESCO and the International Pedagogical Academy of Preschool Education regarding the UNESCO Chair on Early Childhood Education and Development was renewed.
The work of the Chair is regularly featured in leading scientific periodicals and monographs. The Chair actively develops the journal "Preschool Education Today," indexed in the DOAJ, ERA, and other leading databases.
The Chair successfully implements UNESCO's goals and principles, developing educational materials and lectures that are integrated into professional development and retraining programs for specialists in preschool education, ensuring the relevance and high quality of training.
The Chair serves as a respected platform for professional communication and exchange of experience between scholars and specialists from around the world.
Among our largest events, the following stand out: the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Early Childhood Care and Education" (ECCE), the All-Russian Forum of Preschool Education Workers "ORIENTIRY DETSTVA", and the International Psychological Forum "Child in the Digital World".
