Youth Mental Health in Times of Crises

UNESCO is working on publishing a first UNESCO Global Youth Outlook, focusing on Youth Mental Health in Times of Crises. The goals of the study are to understand the current state of youth mental health and the ways it is impacted by crises, investigate emerging trends, and shape recommendations that support youth mental well-being and foster resilience among young people. It therefore aims to provide meaningful support to governments by contributing to the development of policies and systems that address the needs of youth.

On behalf of UNESCO's Youth Programme, we invite students of UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks, and their communities, to participate in this global survey on mental health in times of crisis. The survey is addressed to young people aged 18 to 35.

This survey is one of three key research methods to produce new data for the elaboration of the Outlook. Individual responses will be combined to give a broad picture of the views of young people across all the world. As such, we count on your cooperation to help us ensure the greatest number and largest geographic spread of responses.

The survey is available at this link, and can be answered in English, French, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, or Portuguese. It will be open until Sunday 8 March 23:59 CET (Paris time).
