International Symposium «Psychological Well-Being in Preschool Age» under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO

We invite the participation of UNESCO chairpersons and staff, educators, psychologists, and all specialists interested in creating conditions for the harmonious emotional development of preschool children in the face of modern challenges.

In our era of digitalisation and social change, ensuring the psychological well-being of preschoolers is inextricably linked to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in education. This is not just a priority pedagogical task, but a key factor in ensuring the stable and harmonious development of society in the future. It is during preschool that the foundations for emotional intelligence, stress resilience, and a positive outlook are laid.

Recognising this importance, the UNESCO Chair on Early Childhood Education and Development of the International Academy of Preschool Education has arranged the forthcoming International Symposium in August 2026 focused on the psychological well-being of preschoolers.

The overall objective of the event is to develop and systematise practice-oriented strategies for supporting the psychological well-being of preschoolers, taking into account the individual characteristics and needs of each child.

The key goals of the symposium:

To unite the efforts of leading experts from various fields to find effective solutions for maintaining the psychological well-being of preschoolers in the digital age.
To share successful practices for preventing anxiety, aggression, and maladjustment in preschool-aged children.
To organise an interdisciplinary dialogue between all stakeholders, including researchers, experts in education, psychology, and sociology, teachers, and parents.
To identify prospects for scientific and methodological collaboration in the field of preschool mental health.
