      UNESCO Digital Learning Week 2026 Opens in Paris

      From September 8 to 11, 2026, UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris is hosting Digital Learning Week under the theme "Education in the Age of AI: Facts | Frictions | Frontiers."

      Digital Learning Week is an annual UNESCO forum where representatives from ministries of education, universities, research centers, international organizations, and the technology sector discuss how digital technologies and artificial intelligence are transforming teaching, learning, and the management of education systems. The 2026 program features plenary sessions, parallel sessions, and demonstrations of educational solutions, as well as a meeting of UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN networks, which kicks off the event on September 8.

      The Russian Federation is represented in the program by a presentation from Ivan Vasilyevich Lobanov, Rector of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, titled "Artificial Intelligence and the Labor Market: How Economics Universities Prepare Specialists for the Age of Automation." The presentation is scheduled for September 10 as part of parallel session 3.2.

      The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation is represented by Olga Vladimirovna Molovtseva, Acting Director of the Department of International Cooperation.

      UNESCO Chairs from the Russian Federation are participating in the event:
