The 6th International Psychological Forum "Child in the Digital World," a major scientific event in the field of child development and education, was held on June 1-2, 2026. The Forum traditionally brought together over 7,000 psychologists, educators, anthropologists, medical professionals, journalists, linguists, developers of digital educational products, and other experts studying childhood.

On May 20, 2026, Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPSU) hosted a thematic roundtable of UNESCO Chairs on the topic "Practices for Preserving Native Languages and Cultures from an Early Age." The event was held within the framework of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and the Year of Preschool Education, timed to coincide with the Days of Slavic Writing and Culture.

On March 12, 2026, the Forum of UNESCO Chairs of the Russian Federation under the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO took place. The Forum was held at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and was dedicated to reviewing the results of the work of UNESCO Chairs of the Russian Federation for the year 2025, familiarizing participants with the new conditions and forms of work for Chairs developed by UNESCO Headquarters, and formulating new plans in connection with these changes.

UNESCO is working on publishing a first UNESCO Global Youth Outlook, focusing on Youth Mental Health in Times of Crises. The goals of the study are to understand the current state of youth mental health and the ways it is impacted by crises, investigate emerging trends, and shape recommendations that support youth mental well-being and foster resilience among young people. It therefore aims to provide meaningful support to governments by contributing to the development of policies and systems that address the needs of youth.
